Sagra Elettronica is a ten-hours open air festival for food and electronic music aficionados in Italy’s heel of the boot, Lecce, in Apulia. Its upcoming edition is set for Saturday, July 27th.
This year’s edition will be featuring a musical excursus in between early, noir dub and digi-dancehall to avant-garde electronic and fast club-culture. The 40-years experienced reggae local hero DJ WAR will take over, to be followed by the electro-dub master Larssen, the grime & dub activist Ena Ghema and the emerging trip-hop duo Gauna & Mocry. The ritual dance of Tarantata performance by Serena D’Amato will also be breaking in, expect a frenetic, intense indigo and charming pirouettes. The Hellenic avant-dub visionary Jay Glass Dubs, the shamanic electronica musician Aïsha Devi, the Congolese-Londoner producer Nkisi and Macao’s resident DJ Arcangelo will complete the journey.
The festival has been featured over the Italy's contemporary art magazine Artribune and lifestyle magazine Face Magazine, worldwide electronic music magazine Resident Advisor, Italy's best music webzines Kalporz and The New Noise, and more. See the official event.
